The positives: I'm in control! Write what I want, how I want! No critical editorial comments...rules...restrictions...

The negatives: When are we ever fully in control! Who monitors my writing? My choice of subject? My perceived biases - opinions - politics?

And most importantly what do I write that is interesting to you the reader?
